Matrix/Runouts: XEX 447-1N R A D/ XEX 448-1N M G (MT on centre). Plenty of hairlines but nothing deeper although there is naturally surface noise and off ticks, but no jumps. Unfortunately there is no outer sleeve just the inner.
Notes:
The main differentiator of this early pressing, compared to later versions, is the black & yellow [l2294 label with perimeter rim copyright text beginning, 'THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD...', and the text 'RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963' above the side indicator numeral.
There are a number of other differentiators present on both the labels and the cover.
Label:
1- The title of B3 is given as 'You Really Got A [instead of: 'Gotta' Hold On Me'.
2 - The line beginning 'Your Man' on side B ends with 'Northern'. A similar version has the line ending with 'Songs'.
3 - The publishing credit for B7 'Money' is given as 'Dominion.Belinda (Ldn.) Ltd.'. Earlier
pressings credit 'Jobete Mus. NCB'.
4 - The MT purchase tax code embossing on either side of the spindle hole. Similar variants have the codes MKT, KT, and one has no code.
Cover:
1 - Front laminated, tri-flipback and printed by [l264830, with a large 'MONO' indicator on the front, top, right hand corner. A similar variant is printed by [l266652
2 - The title of track B3 as 'You Really Gotta [instead of: 'Got A' Hold On Me'.
